چکیده

Heating ventilating air-conditioning (HVAC) systems have been increasingly widespread in Italy: they can exploit renewable energies, are energy efficient systems, do not directly consume fossil fuels, and the post-pandemic era, also subject to incentive processes by Italian government. In South Tyrol, harsh climates both winter summer seasons, ground-source heat pump (GSHP) be an excellent solution for air conditioning of buildings. Unfortunately, too often, design HVAC with borehole exchangers (BHEs) is adequate, therefore, innovative expeditious numerical proposed. A new element (named Type285), written Fortran code, was developed TRNSYS 18 able implement main features BHEs surrounding aquifer. Type285 compared models present literature (using hydrogeological software such as MODFLOW) validated experimental data. The demonstration exchanged increase between BHE subsoil due groundwater flow velocity carried out evaluated. choice simulate using a fast advantageous system design.

Effect of Borehole Material on Analytical Solutions of the Heat Transfer Model of Ground Heat Exchangers Considering Groundwater Flow

Abstract: Groundwater flow is one of the most important factors for the design of a ground heat exchanger (GHEX) since the thermal environment of the ground around the buried GHEX is significantly affected by heat convection due to the groundwater flow. Several preceding studies have been conducted to develop analytical solutions to the heat transfer model of GHEX with consideration of groundwa...

Thermal Performance of Borehole Heat Exchangers

An important issue in the design of systems using borehole heat exchangers is to find costeffective methods to construct the borehole heat exchanger so that heat can be injected or extracted from the ground without excessive temperature differences between the heat carrier fluid and the surrounding ground. This paper presents an overview of experiences and current activities in this field.

Assessment of Design Procedures for Vertical Borehole Heat Exchangers

The use of ground source energy systems is a well-established method to provide low cost heating to buildings, diversify the energy mix and help meeting increasingly stricter sustainability targets. However, considerable uncertainties remain over their efficient design, with several standards, guidelines and manuals being proposed over the last few years. This paper aims at providing insight in...

Interpreting velocities from heat-based flow sensors by numerical simulation.

We have carried out numerical simulations of three-dimensional nonisothermal flow around an in situ heat-based flow sensor to investigate how formation heterogeneities can affect the interpretation of ground water flow velocities from this instrument. The flow sensor operates by constant heating of a 0.75-m-long, 5-cm-diameter cylindrical probe, which contains 30 thermistors in contact with the...
